The Turnersville Community Center is a family-friendly gathering place in the heart of northeastern Coryell County, Texas, just 40 miles west of Waco and 12 miles northeast of Gatesville. Conveniently located near the intersection of FM 217 and FM 182, our center serves as a hub for recreation, community, education, and the arts. COMMUNITY EVENTS
Community Yard Sale & 42 Tournament
Join us at the Turnersville Community Center on March 28th for a full day of small-town fun featuring a Community Yard Sale and 42 Domino Tournament.
The yard sale runs from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the 42 Tournament at 2:00 PM. Pre-registration to be a yard sale vendor is required and is available at the link below. Domino players can register ahead of time also at the link below or the day of from 12:30–1:30 PM.
Enjoy spaghetti or chicken spaghetti lunch, a bake sale, raffles, and activities for kids, making it a great event for the whole family. Whether you’re shopping, playing dominoes, or just coming out for lunch and community fellowship, there’s something for everyone!
Buffalo Stampede
The Turnersville Community Center is more than just a venue — it’s where the community comes together. Our calendar is filled with local gatherings, educational programs, and cultural activities.
Our biggest annual fundraiser, Buffalo Stampede, brings neighbors and visitors together for a day of fun, food, and fellowship every October. This years event will be held on October 24, 2026. Proceeds help us continue to maintain the center and provide a welcoming space for everyone.
The Heart of our Community
As a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, we’re proud to host community events, provide a local voting location, and even serve as a designated warming center during emergencies. Whether you’re a local resident or visiting the area along the historic Chisholm and Bosque Trails, the Turnersville Community Center is a place to gather, celebrate, and connect.
