The Turnersville Community Center is a family-friendly gathering place in the heart of northeastern Coryell County, Texas, just 40 miles west of Waco and 12 miles northeast of Gatesville. Conveniently located near the intersection of FM 217 and FM 182, our center serves as a hub for recreation, community, education, and the arts. And, we just might be the perfect venue for your next event or special occasion!

- 14 six-foot round tables

COMMUNITY EVENTS
Buffalo Stampede
The Turnersville Community Center is more than just a venue — it’s where the community comes together. Our calendar is filled with local gatherings, educational programs, and cultural activities.
Our biggest annual fundraiser, Buffalo Stampede, brings neighbors and visitors together for a day of fun, food, and fellowship every October. This year's event will be held on October 17, 2026. Proceeds help us continue to maintain the center and provide a welcoming space for everyone.
CHILI COOK-OFF & DANCE
Celebrate the Turnersville Annual Buffalo Stampede on October 17, 2026, at the Turnersville Community Center! The fun starts early with vendors and FREE activities beginning at 2:00 PM, followed by the Chili Cook-Off & Dance, live music by The Texas Connection Band, great prizes, and silent and live auctions. Come compete for the best chili, enjoy the dance, or make a night of both! BYOB—no glass, please.
Schedule of Events
- 10:00 AM – Chili cooks set up
- 12:00 PM – Vendor setup
- 2:00 PM – Vendors and free activities begin
- 3:00 PM – Chili turn-in and judging
- 5:00 PM – Chili awards and meal
- 7:00 PM – Dance begins
- 8:30 PM - Silent & Live Auction
